I have been rescuing animals, both wild and domestic, since I was a child. I’ve rescued field mice to horses, and everything in between. I’m allergic to cats, but in my lifetime I’ve rescued five of them. If you love your cats so much, why don’t you protect them? It sickens me.

A parent bird’s instinct to feed and protect their young is very strong, and they will not willingly abandon their babies. Mites will eventually kill the bird. Did you know a bird’s body has the ability to seal a small puncture wound within minutes? Ok, so you’ve rescued a bird. Baby bird with lots of mites. Find a box.

Dedicated keepers at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's Nairobi Elephant Nursery in Kenya protect baby Shukuru from the cold and rain, and the risk of pneumonia, with a custom-made raincoat. Her deep wounds were filled with maggots. A mobile vet unit was able to tranquilize her, clean her wounds, and extract the spear.
