Look at the facts, lay your emotions aside and listen to reason—exactly the same reasoning that’s been so persuasive in convincing me that hunting cranes is the right thing to do. Bald Eagles will provide a sporting challenge for hunters. Hunters don’t even need to use decoys. We need to give hunters new opportunities to hunt.

I won’t pick a fight with hunters, as long as they eat what they shoot and don’t use lead ammunition. Here is a direct (and unedited) quote: “… keep in mind the main reason why experienced crow hunters got into the sport in the first place, Fun. I am not anti-hunting. Plain old fashioned Fun.”. It’s not the 1800s anymore.

Nationwide, wildlife watchers now outspend hunters 6 to 1. Hunters and fish and wildlife departments having a stake in Sandhills is a great thing.
