We had a blast, the family and I, and experienced some amazing natural places, to say nothing of the fine city of Seattle. I got sunburned, Desi suffered a nasty cut over his eye, and all three of us sneezed and sniffled and hacked and coughed with colds. The Lucky Diner on First Avenue in Seattle has delicious food.

I live in Seattle and, while I don't always agree with PETA, I hate the UW's animal research practices. I don't believe these animals get the quality of care they deserve for the suffering they undergo. If you "humanize" the animal and grow attached, how can you conduct experiments on it?

In Super Bowl XLVIII, the mighty Seattle Seahawks took a title, though they lost the following year to the aforementioned Patriots. This isn’t even including victories by that fantastic franchise named for sufferers of gigantism. nationalist, holy person, or some species of pirate has won it all.

These birds certainly have a big fan in Alex Washoe, a freelance writer and bookseller in Seattle, WA. More often, the parents are nearby, just waiting for interfering humans to leave. They quickly adapt to the presence of humans (and even dogs) in the yard and don’t seem to be frightened by much of anything.
