Not sure why they spend time in Shanghai in winter when they could come here though, but then again, I usually do not understand most of the behavior of humans either. They look crap but presumably offer some protection for the chicks, though not from each other (see the murderous activities within the nests in my previous post ).

And managing means killing them, breeding them, and otherwise fiddling with their populations. In the majority of cases, it is humans who are to blame for the plunging numbers of animals, and Corwin is very clear about the extent to which we have destroyed the world around us. This is all very unveganly, but I went for it nevertheless.

I once asked my then-girlfriend whether this color was in any way protected for use by the postal service only – as the color yellow is to some extent associated with the German mail service. Who would have thought.

Similar to the situation among humans, among Grey-capped Greenfinches , “high-quality individuals prefer to mate with each other” ( source ). Poor Britons – Brexit did not protect them from being invaded by birds from the continent. Eurasian Bitterns similarly try to stay out of sight.
