We wanted to share this great initiative called “Bowl by Bowl” that challenges negative perceptions of shelter pets as well as helps feed animals in need. Each month’s quizzes feature a different theme that helps to educate and inspire more people to turn to shelters when they want to bring a new pet into their lives.

Like every dog they are vulnerable to homelessness and mistreatment. However, any breed of dog that has been abused, neglected, or homeless may be aggressive to humans or other dogs. Pit Bull Rescue Central (PBRC) is a great resource for pit bull owners and those that find a homeless or lost pit bull.

I was really excited to hear about an Angel Tree program for pets. The program, which is run by Best Friends Pet Care , is now in it’s 11th year! You can help pets in need through the month of December by donating food, supplies or cash which will then benefit more than 70 community animal shelters across the U.S.
