Violet the diabetic greyhound does very well as a vegan as her recent blood work demonstrated. Charles the lame greyhound doesn't process grains well at all. I've never discussed that Emily the kitty eats one meal of Ami vegan kibble on most days (and one of canned, animal-based food). She is doing fine with that. He never has.

Brief commentary follows this e-mail I received regarding greyhounds, animal rights and Ireland. Dear ARAN Members, I remember as a young child throwing stones and sticks at a terrified greyhound that slept in a back shed a few blocks from where I live. He would not return for many hours.

There is no philosophical continuum, but there is a psychological continuum, as evidenced by everyone at the workshop taking steps back or forward, denoting their increase in animal use (including no meat to meat, or backsliding, like I did a decade ago), or their decrease (such as when vegetarians go vegan).
