Any clue what animal fur this might be?

I just walked into my backyard a little while ago and saw this large scattering of fur. I live in Central Pennsylvania, if that helps for potentially identifying the animal. Any clue as to what may animal left this is or what may have caused this? I wasn’t sure if it was potentially from some sort of fight, but I didn’t see any blood.
