I once knew a guy who kept and raised cats. In some regions of the world, the carnivore landscape is taken up by many different cats at the middle and larger range, and by things like civets and mongoose at the smaller end. We estimate that free-ranging domestic cats kill 1.4–3.7 Unless we put them there.

Also frequent escapees (or very free ranging domestics) are guinea fowl and to a lesser extent a number of other gamebirds up to and including peacocks. There are any number of concerns one could raise. Can we find a suitable island free from feral predators that would devastate the introduced species?
