I once knew a guy who kept and raised cats. In some regions of the world, the carnivore landscape is taken up by many different cats at the middle and larger range, and by things like civets and mongoose at the smaller end. We estimate that free-ranging domestic cats kill 1.4–3.7 They are invasive species.
