This Great Blue Heron was found up near Seattle this winter, and I was as cold as this birds looks to be! I happen to think the Crested Cara cara is one of the most beautiful birds in the falcon family. They stay here in Mexico despite the heat, and raise their families.

Rabbit Meadows is a rescue group out of Seattle. We’ve subsequently rescued feral rabbit populations from Rocky Reach Dam in Wenatchee, Seattle’s Woodland Park, and the Aqua Barn of Kent, insuring each rabbit a safe haven to live out the rest of their life at Rabbit meadows without threat of harm.

The end of this rather long road trip finds us here in Puyallup, Washington which is just south of Seattle. This location is great as it is close to Jeanne’s Family, as well as a very short drive to the Billy Frank Jr. It seems like the farther the north we go, the colder, and wetter, and a whole lot snowier it gets! Nisqually NWR.
