The Sounds of a Tiger-Heron

10,000 Birds

One of my highlight stories was my first experience with the sounds of a Rufescent Tiger-Heron. Lots of insects vocalizing at a time was one cool experience. It was past midnight when the forest gets rather quite when I started to hear monkeys near my tent pinched by an oxbow lake. Featured Photo: Rufescent Tiger-Heron.

Panama Trip Report: April 2017

10,000 Birds

The food was better than decent, which exceeds our experience of Panamanian cuisine at most other locations. In fact, we saw two species of monkey, our only sloths, lots of coatis, and my rarest ever mammal sighting—a Jaguarundi —right on site. Despite the golf course, this place host all manner of birds and mammals. BIRDING NOTES.
