I neglected to take the camera into the courtyard in the beginning, though I did bring the hounds and their beds. Who needs to eat animals when you can have delicious, low fat, high fiber, nutritious meals that are light on carbon footprint and don't involve killing anybody? Because their flesh and secretions taste good.

It was the same day George Floyd was killed. In Better Living Through Birding , Chris tells us stories of his life, a very unique life, but he also crafts his experiences so we can relate to them as birders and as people. Because being a birder means you experience life through that framework. I remember that day.

Some were abused or neglected. Fostering is a wonderful experience. A pet needs time to decompress, to learn trust, to “get over” the shelter experience. She was on the kill list in NYC and was pulled by A Pathway to Hope Rescue, after Rock & Rawhide advocated for her life. Will they get sick in the shelter?
