These chimps are currently at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s New Iberia Research Center. This is the same place that was nailed by a Humane Society undercover investigation. The Humane Society wants 9 chimps that are not being "used" as part of experiments to be released to a sanctuary. percent of our DNA.

The experience is one of the ornithological highlights in the world. The clay consumed at the colpa contains chemicals that bind with these ingested alkaloids thus neutralizing their toxicity.

For example, I recall some fine memorable mornings at the Tambopata Research Center where I walked into the forest, sat on a bench, and identified more than 120 species before breakfast, almost all of them by sound. That said, this year, it barely happened, and that disturbing experience brings me to my next point.
