Recent publicity about these remarkable tribes has resulted in tourists wanting to experience this wild land and its attractions for themselves. Their fragile homes, meager belongings and scant livestock attested to this, and yet the people seemed content with their lot in life.

The following year, 2014, I elected to join a different group birding the lowland seasonal forest at the opposite end of the CBC radius from where I had that wonderful experience the year before. This hulking Peregrine Falcon was very accommodating to say the least. Trinidad Lancehead , or Fer-de-lance.
