I enjoy falconry, it’s not merely a sport or hobby, it is a lifestyle. When you see a falconer transporting their bird or walking with a group, the bird might be in a dark crate or hooded. They know how to trap raptors and if something is interesting nearby, they will try to band it for research. Not all the time.

So, all this makes birding this place an occasionally less than pleasant experience. The disadvantage is that this is not a typical parrotbill at all – it is a bit like the old joke of searching for your keys not where you lost them, but where there is plenty of light to facilitate the research.
