Multitudes, hundreds of Brown Pelicans and Terns–Least, Common, Foster’s, Sandwich, Royal, and Caspian. They did flush eventually, but not because of humans. Many birders left at the first drops, but I crowded with a few other birders under the shelter of the volunteer kiosk. I imagined walking right up to them.
