Yellow-naped Parrot. Endangered and awesome, it’s pretty easy to experience this big parrot in the Pacific lowlands of Costa Rica from Tarcoles north to near Nicaragua. A serious world mega and even more so because this species is truly scarce and without a doubt, truly endangered.

There are arguments for adding all territories, but experience demonstrates that the ABA moves glacially when it comes to the ABA Area. But other species have not been recorded in the ABA Area, including, of course, all 16 Puerto Rican endemics. Moreover, invasive species have impacted much of what remains.
