Emotional Experiments Rescue Stray

Has anyone, as a child, ever hurt animals like pelting stray cats and dogs with stones? Have done a bit of rescue volunteering in the past. I know no amount of rescue service will make up or replace or change what those poor beings went through. Have any of you guys here had similar experiences? Please help/suggest.

When adopting a rescue there are added considerations on selecting the right dog for your lifestyle. Right at the top of the list is the awareness that your new rescue has a shady history, especially if it was a stray. The longer a dog is at the shelter the more it will impact their emotional state.
