We have photographs and newspaper obituaries of Martha, the last living Passenger Pigeon, who died after a lifetime in captivity, mostly in the Cincinnati Zoo. How many eggs did a pigeon lay? We have a lot of source material. What is amazing is that each of these three books is very different in content and tone.
