In 2008, over nine billion chickens were slaughtered for Americans to eat. When we eat eggs we eat chicken eggs almost exclusively. Other such local groups may disappear quickly, or only after a prolonged period of persistence. Americans love chicken.

Like crows and jays, they are social, vocal, intelligent, and omnivorous (including eating eggs and nestlings). These colorful, exotic birds are often seen moving through forest and second growth in groups of 8 or so individuals in search of fruit, nests, and small creatures. Yes, this bird acts like a jay.
