A Crested Serpent Eagle , looking a bit ridiculous after a rain. This is a juvenile Grey-headed Fish Eagle , unless it is another fish eagle like the Lesser (the lack of any grey head makes me doubt the identification a bit, but it seems juveniles cannot afford a grey head yet). Well, it seems such people exist.

Birding the Kruger Park (2): Bateleur area

The one bird I did not see here, however, was the Bateleur Eagle … One highlight in the area is the Saddle-billed Stork , likely to be the tallest species in the stork family. The benefit for the wasps is that they get to keep a beautiful pet. meters, they still lost some of their prey to Fish Eagles.

Birding the Kruger Park (3): Malelane area

Due to some misallocation of bird species, I saw the Bateleur Eagle near Malelane, not near Bateleur Camp, where a more professional marketing team would have located the bird. When I asked for one in a German pet shop, they just laughed at me. Its tail is indeed much longer than that of the Long-tailed Shrike though.
