Herdsman Lake is very good if you only have access to public transport and will offer great birds like Blue-billed Ducks and Musk Ducks , but if you have a vehicle you should try and visit the Perth Hills National Parks and also Yanchep National Park. Grey Kangaroos.

As you first walk down the paths (or even park) the dominant species is not a bird but Eastern Grey Kangaroos, and lots of them. Also present were other parrots, including the gorgeous King Parrots , the dashing Galah and the Eastern Rosella. Campbell Park, Canberra. A bit into the walk I encountered a large mixed flock of birds.
