About the size of a hare, it is more clumsily jumping, than running… and that tail… It was the European Otter ! Once I observed a man walking his two small dogs here, passing by a perched White-tailed Eagle but looking down at grass and not noticing the largest raptor in Europe at all. I’ve never quite understood why so many people wrap their scopes up in little jackets, (but nor do I understand why it’s so popular to dress dogs up in coats, too, as they are already wrapped in fur. It proved strong enough to take the many knocks and falls that a hard-used scope experiences during its lifetime.

Almost the size of a hare, it is more clumsily jumping, than running… and that tail… it is the European Otter! A man walking his two small dogs is passing by the eagle, looking down at grass and not seeing the largest raptor in Europe. The eagle seems well used to people and pays no attention.

But she was beautiful – a deep, almost-black brown (called “otter”) with a palomino-colored belly, and jaw-droppingly soft fur. Momentarily disconcerted by the sight of our 120-pound dog, she quickly got over it; as soon as she figured out what a pacifist he was, she started charging at him. Except Skye. Is all this my own fault?

. • Gators can have fun, alligators aren't stupid, they can have fun as they along with other crocodilians will give each other piggy back rides, one alligator was seen repeatingly throwing a foot ball that landed in his pond, and another was playing with river otters.

Swans swim on a small pond on the distillery grounds and deer and otters can be found by a trail that runs beside the burn. Her reply was that “Highland Lassie [the dog] should be all peace and sunshine – on the other hand the Highlander … should represent the national sport of the country but perhaps without actual storm.”.

You can make a similar map for the small carnivores, the Mustelids, such as minks, ermines, otters, etc. Dogs are similarly dispersed across size ranges, with Foxes, Coyotes, and Wolves taking prey across different parts of the size range. Smaller and larger animals (if there are any) are taken by other creatures.
