Note the short legs, stout body and white rump and tail I see Muntjac on virtually every birding (or dog-walking) outing, as these small Asian deer are now very numerous around my home in the Suffolk Brecks. They took dogs to Australia, chickens across the Pacific, rabbits to England, horses to the New World, and then brought potatoes back. But hedgehogs? Brush-tailed Possums were brought from Australia to help start a fur industry. In many ways, that is exactly what happened. Greenfinches? What exactly was going on.
