Awful story, but this is the reason I support PETA, even when they do wacky things sometimes. and more than a dozen animal shelters and rescues[1] succeeded in placing all of the rescued animals, offering hope that they will find loving homes and solace after their ordeal. PETA has asked the group Pet Shop Boys to change their name to Rescue Shelter Boys. Peta Europe has written to Pet Shop Boys with a request they are unable to agree to," reads a post on the band's official website. Peta's letter requests the name change because of the cruelty it alleges takes place in the pet trade.

Every day myself and other 'friends' went out of our way to terrify the poor helpless dog that used to live in this filthy run down shed for shelter. Need reminding why cruelty to animals is wrong? That letter makes me want to raise a boy, just so I can see the impulse toward destruction and cruelty.
