On Coping Mechanisms

I spend plenty of time doing nonprofit work that is unrelated to animals and also doing for-profit work that is unrelated to animals. In other words, I don't immerse myself in animal cruelty. And part of meeting my own needs, by the way, is the need to care for animals who have been discarded.
