Like a "BBQ, pony rides and a petting zoo!" When I started thinking about trying to get the association to cancel the pony rides and petting zoo (which are often part of one business as a quick Google search of " traveling petting zoo " will demonstrate), my several-year vegan husband said, "What's the use? What would you do?

The raid followed an undercover investigation by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Tags: zoos exotic animals detroit animal rescue PETA. That's HUGE. It was an exotic animal importing firm (why the eff do those even exist?) that was allegedly mistreating its animals. See, husband, this is why I like PETA!)

The underlying premise is that you can know what is right (such as me knowing what's right then eating cow flesh in the form of filet mignon for a year), but that by no means will necessarily manifest in your behavior. I assume Francione does not disagree. None of these things will happen without targeted campaigns.
