The precipitous plunge of Vesper Sparrow populations has been largely because of changing land use practices. What has caused the decline? They really stick out when you see them with other little brown jobs.

For the United States, there is also a state list. The writers at 10,000 Birds span the globe, but I am particularly interested in the lists for the United States, as that is my “beat.” As of mid-October 2018, the Collaborative had submitted more than 1,700 checklists and observed 618 species in the United States.
