I got my first pets, mice and guinea pigs, when I was 8. With purebred animals, it is especially important to do your research and make sure the pet fits your family’s lifestyle. I believe between ages 4 and 8 is ideal, although older kids can also benefit. Today I own 40 outdoor dogs and two more who live indoors!

A Trip to an Animal Lab

In a brief tour of a particular biotech research company, I was taken to the animal lab. but did experiment on mice and guinea pigs. But when I got closer, I read, "Animal research opens minds." Then, heading out, I noticed three little knitted mice. It wasn't a full-fledged tour, but disturbing nonetheless.
