It is rumored that one of the researchers later became a software developer. It seems that at Nanhui, somebody is trying to kill even more than 2 bird(s) (species) with one stone (to be more accurate, not a single stone but a massive amount of concrete). While small, these birds cover impressive migration routes.

Though carefully removed with photo editing software, it is obvious that the bird in the air has been fixed by a wire. In reverse order, the medals were awarded for “most species seen in a country”, to Australia with 420, USA got the silver, scoring 556 while the runaway winner was Costa Rica with 646 species. A big thank you must also go to eBird whose listing software makes it possible. Cattle Egret – Bubulcus ibis.
