Santa Hamster. Yes, an hamster wearing a Santa hat! Oh, FYI, I bought myself this hamster pillow for a pre-Christmas gift and it is even more adorable in person. They have a wide variety of toys for dogs and cats (and even smaller animals can join the fun). Oh, and did I mention that it comes from Shop For Shelters?

All companion animals including dogs, cats, hamsters, mice, rats, chinchillas, guinea pigs, birds, snakes, and lizards would be considered as pets. If it passes, San Francisco residents would have to go to a shelter or rescue group to adopt an animal. Pet sales would be banned altogether, except for the sale of pet fish.

Cats and dogs are the most popular pets, along with hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs also being amongst the favourites. It’s important to provide goats with a shelter to protect them from the elements. Have you considered keeping goats as pets? You will also need somewhere to store feed, such as bales of hay and cereal grains.

Start with easier pets – Many people don’t want to start with the responsibility of a dog or cat. Guinea pigs also do not bite, unlike hamsters and gerbils which can tend to be nippy. Many mutts you can get from the pound or animal shelter make terrific pets. I strongly encourage people to adopt pound and shelter animals.
