I refuse to believe we got an ORANGE CAT (Tiger) before a green animal, like what? No way we got a Giraffe before a green animal. Are you telling me Orange is better suited than green!?? What's going on? What are they hiding? Is there already a green animal - but because its green we have not discovered it yet? What's going on?

This is also why you very rarely find a photo of a giraffe on top of one of these posts – the other reason of course being that a giraffe photo would be relatively pointless in a birding blog. ” It is a bit similar with my cats – I like to watch them eat but rarely wait until they throw up.

In the first full day, we have seen dozens each of giraffes, zebra, warthogs, elephants, 12 rhinos, 30 hippos, 3 Cape Buffalo, crocodiles, jackals, monkeys, baboons, literally a thousand impala, and at least 10 different antelope type animals. This Southern Yellow-billed Hornbill just couldn’t stop posing for me.

They range from the successful eradication of feral cats from Marion Island (hear that, Corey?) The Big Five–lion, leopard, African buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros–are impressive, but my heart lies with the patterned mammals, giraffes and zebras.

Well, Copenhagen Zoo is back in the news; a few weeks after killing a giraffe and feeding it to some lions, it went and killed some of those same lions. There was a story this morning that did make my blood freeze, and it had nothing to do with four big cats biting the bullet. My reaction would be pretty much the same.
