Garganey in New York

I’d only ever seen Garganey once before, way back in 2009 in Kazakhstan. So we set to scanning, adding species and birders at a roughly two-to-one ratio. We saw Sandhill Cranes , Northern Shovelers , and Bald Eagles. What if we missed it? Its a Eurasian bird, migrating from Africa and south Asia every spring.
