Two Wild Boars crossed our path, returning from the arable field where they fed overnight, to the safety of Beljarica. Now you can check the fish farm lakes on your left (but here you have to ask for permission in the management building, the last one on the right hand side) or you can drive on until the first, very slight band in the road.

There were wild boars and monitors rustling through the leaves as well as the plantain squirrels that we had become so accustomed to. We had not been expecting to see a Banded Woodpecker and there we had one right in front of us. Singapore is a great place to enjoy the woodpecker family. Banded Woodpecker.

The chicks, which were about the size of chickens, had brown and fawn striped plumage reminding me of the colours of young wild boars. But the information was right, and daddy stopped chasing after me. The family on a peaceful moment. The whole effect was capped off literally by a bony casque that looked ancient and weathered.

On her own, two months ago, she took down a big, old and experienced Indian Boar , who already had some old tiger claw scars. We have met the daughters of Telia, the Tigress of the Lake.
