I occasionally read Scienceblog when there is mention of animal research issues. It's a site that, according to its own description, is half reader blogs and half press releases from research institutions. I'm not going into why I do not support animal research. How about this? It's all effed up to me.

I've decided to quit my book club, which I dearly love, because of a member who works in medical research and supports animal experimentation. I thought I could stay with the group because she does give me fodder for the blog. Then I read more about what's happening at the New Iberia Research Center in Louisiana.
