White-crested Laughingthrush in Singapore

During our three weeks of birding in Singapore in March we were surprised that we did not encounter White-crested Laughingthrush – Garrulax leucolophus more often. We had taken a trail down from the main path in Kent Park to a shelter to discover several bird species in the area including the White-crested Laughingthrush.

Birding Pulau Ubin-Singapore

Central Catchment Nature Reserve Singapore

The Central Catchment Nature Reserve in Singapore is a huge area that covers over 2,000 hectares of forest. As with many of the nature reserves in Singapore they do tend to be busier on Sundays and also close to the car-parks, but beyond that you can walk alone in the forest. Also, don’t steal the birds!! Warning signs.
