What makes Bean Hollow stand out is that along with a rather pebbly beach, it also has some wonderful tide pools full of very accessible marine life. As for birds, well, I wasn’t paying much attention back then. All Brandt’s The same goes for the three species of loons flying by. Why, Bean Hollow, of course.

These nutrient-rich currents provide sustenance for a variety of marine-life, including the many thousand of seabirds that call this place home. The boat-trip over to the island is far from uneventful and the pelagic birding is very rewarding. Also present are six species of reptiles, including the numerous Brown Iguanas. .
