Those cliffs are a lot further than they look The valley opens up at the ocean to a wide flat delta with a lake in it, and when the explosion of returning bird life happens soon it would be a very busy place.

Fairy Pitta in Australia-a sad story

It gets interesting here, because the bar manager had no idea it was a rare bird and was just helping out a bird that had flown into a window. We noted that the Sobrane Gallery had a lot of leaf litter underneath it. We widened our search, but we kept returning to the leaf litter under the Sobrane Gallery. There it was!

Last month we went camping and birding north of Broome and headed into the Northern Territory in search of some bird species that we had not seen yet this year.
