This Olive Sea Snake was a very fat specimen and had a wound which didn’t look particularly fatal. Porpita porpita washed in and breaking up Floating Porpita porpita It has been quite some time since I came across a Sea Snake washed up on the beach, but this week I did.

There are some very large crocodiles in the gorge despite them only being the smaller species of crocodile-namely “freshies” rather than “salties” Freshwater and Saltwater crocodiles can inhabit the same water systems, so you should never presume there is only one species present and either species can inflict wounds.
