The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and Joplin Humane Society successfully found permanent homes for 745 pets during its weekend adopt-a-thon event on June 25 and 26. ASPCA , Joplin Humane Society to Host Weekend Adopt-a-thon for Joplin Tornado Pets. Nearly 600 cats and dogs looking for permanent homes during major pet adoption event June 25 – 26. To date, the ASPCA has provided emergency sheltering for approximately 1,300 animals.
