Driving slowly along the track towards the levee separating this area from the Danube backwaters, a largish marten-like animal once ran across the track. There was a panel discussion too, where I gave the opening lecture on Reva’s wildlife and the value of this area for the polluted city with 2M people.

It takes a lot of nerve—or something that can’t be printed here—to name your rat poison after the animals that so effectively and efficiently control rodents but that are also being poisoned—as “non target” animals—by your product. Perhaps their next product will be named “Gills”—or “Turtle” or “Trout” or Salmon?”

New England Reptile Distributers just released a video explaining a terrible incident involving the FWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission). The 10-year-old Boa was pregnant and had been raised by McAdam since it was a baby. Whether we like to admit it or not, we (culturally) view animals on a "sentience spectrum."
