As Chilean officials and volunteers rescued 17 birds they noticed the birds were foaming from the beak. Unfortunately, contemporary people from the high Andes are beginning to see condors as the enemy; a predator that will kill and eat livestock. Andean condors are vultures and feed exclusively on “carrion” dead animals.
