Injured bird?

My landlord and I found this bird on the ground unable to fly. When it lands, it's right wing always lays extended, though it's able to bring the wing close to its body when we pick it up. We were worried about it's eyes when we took a look at them, is this normal? Is it just a chick, or closer to a fully grown bird?
