Joseph Chiera is a Masters student in Animal Behavior and Conservation at Hunter College in NYC and a “somewhat newbie” to birding. Barnacle Geese and their downy-grey cygnets were everywhere, grazing alongside picnickers and sunbathers. I was pleasantly surprised by what I found in the park that sunny day.
