Dear Senator Murray, I have read articles in the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times about the chimpanzees at Holloman Air Force Base. These highly intelligent animals should be PERMANENTLY retired and a PERMANENT sanctuary created for them. They deserve better and we are capable of providing them with better.

Kills in Canada, Alaska and Mexico are not included in the count. Further, the crane take in Mexico is a free-for-all: neither regulated nor recorded. we allow limited (by season and bag limits) hunting on populations of game animals that can sustain it. But I will say that for the longest time hunters did pay for everything.
