Shmeat is grown from a cell culture (hence the in vitro or cultured prefixes), not from a live animal.

In an open Maruti Gypsy, we are heading north from Dasada in the Little Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, along a rather decent tarmac road, between the wheat fields and passing camel carts. CR being the highest category in the Red List , if I want to see some of those birds, I better hurry!

What an animal! Leopard camels in Madikwe. We positioned the safari vehicle were he was heading and he kept coming. Those paws! One of the great wildlife encounters in my life. Afterwards the comedown. Wine and snacks in the bus as the sun goes down. Camelopardus !
