I understand that they are trying to encourage people to eat fish and other marine life that are not part of a collapsing fishery. I'm not sure how this fits into my support of animal rights though. If you are eating a fish, you are still eating a living thing. The purpose is to protect ocean species as a whole.

Yes, cute little Skylarks were all well and good, but what Kiwis really wanted were birds they could shoot and fish they could, uh, fish. A PhD student was presenting her research into the population in Westland, the relic population of Grey Duck. I mentioned 2008 as the year I became aware of the issue.

Most moral vegetarians list fish and fowl as animals one should not eat. Scientific research and expertise are needed here. KBJ: Nobody in the animal-rights or animal-liberation movement views intelligence as a morally significant property, at least intrinsically. What Meat Should Not Be Eaten?
