I don't support animal research and I have no sympathy for animal researchers. I don't believe they want an honest dialogue about what they are doing to animals. I don't believe they are "brave" for "standing up" to animal rights activists. I would never advocate violence against a researcher.

PETA and the Alliance for Animals are asking for charges to be filed against the University of Wisconsin at Madison. The university stopped conducting the experiments last fall when it learned that it may have been violating state law, said Eric Sandgren, who oversees animal research at UW-Madison.

Know Your Adversary Part of being an effective activist on animal research issues is knowing the arguments in support of animal research. Be cautious in repeating claims you find on the Web, especially those made by members of chat groups.

Beloved family pet Dalmatian, Pepper, is stolen, and after several weeks of searching is discovered to have been experimented on at a hospital and died on the table when researchers tried to implant her with an experimental cardiac pacemaker. By the end of my time as researcher, I was performing behavioral experiments on humans.
