The Great Black Hawk – a species with a native range in Mexico to South America – had been spotted in this park for weeks, but not every day. There is a small wound on the lower beak, which is not significant, but will be cleaned and treated. Preliminary bloodwork indicates mild debilitation, with further bloodwork pending.
