A few days ago, I received and then flipped through a bird guide of the Sierra Nevada (my way of coping with currently not being able to do birding trips outside of China, given the Covid policy of the Chinese government). Interestingly, the Slaty-backed Flycatcher follows a similar color scheme despite being part of a very different family.
